Telephone scam

It is possible that I already know someone who writes, but I am sure that after this post, the number of knowledgeable people should become greater.

If you often have to call unfamiliar phones on your service or your interests ... If you usually do it from your mobile phone ... And if someone sometimes doesn’t want to live honestly in some places, then it’s quite possible that everything described below, it will be useful to you and save a hundred or two blood ruble.

So. Suppose you buy a car or sell it, are looking for work or, on the contrary, are looking for suitable personnel, want to rent an apartment or, on the contrary, want to rent it. You found in the newspaper / Internet / on a lamppost outwardly pretty good offer. Not to say that it was 2 times more profitable than others, but against the background of all the others, it certainly stands out - either the salary is 10 thousand more than everywhere, or the price of a car is 20-30 thousand less compared to similar ones. “Hooray,” you think, “that's so lucky,” and joyfully dialing the coveted number. On the other side, after a short cod, some kind of unintelligible speech sounds, after which the connection is broken. What are you doing? Re-dial this number. Same. “Well, yes and God be with him”, you think and forget about these two calls, switching to other ads. You will have to remember about them at the moment when a text message comes from your mobile operator that your balance, if not reached a negative level, is somewhere close to it, and you should put money on the phone in a good way. But yesterday, there still lay at least a hundred rubles. Where did they go?
')
And that's where. Here is the telephone numbering plan of Russia , go to the DEF section - and see in the section “Service Codes of Intelligent Communication Networks” number 809 - a call for an additional fee. Read more on the MTT website . That is, you call the number that starts with it and your money quickly leaves your account (at a rate of 10 rubles to 99 rubles per minute). Everything? No, not all!

Not everyone knows that Kazakhstan, like Russia, has the country telephone code +7. So if you see a number that starts at +7, it’s still not a fact that you call in Russia, for example, +7 710 will lead you to the neighboring republic. (For details, here is the telephone numbering plan of Kazakhstan ) I came across complaints about paid numbers starting at +7 700, so I also have to be extremely careful with seven hundred.

Such are the pies. Forewarned is forearmed. Bypass side 8-809. Be suspicious of + 7-7xx.

So that all my reasoning does not seem empty and groundless, here is a very simple example: www.google.ru/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=88093338765&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
There are several key phrases that also sometimes help scam users to notice - “call only from mobile phones”, “call from MTS, Beeline, Megafon operators” and so on.

There are, however, 2 things that I still haven’t found out - what is the probability of returning lost money (I suspect that it tends to zero on the right) and what is the probability of planting such an aferist in a government house (I think the probability is about the same) .

UPD0. Transferred to "Telecoms".

UPD1. About Ukraine. User ni_dasav advises residents of Kharkov (I think that residents of other cities of Ukraine will also be interested) will get acquainted with the page www.kharkiv.ukrtelecom.ua/services/customers/cmc/tariffs_business , in order not to get caught up with a similar divorce.
