But the corresponding tab in the calendar settings as well as the laboratory functions themselves are available only to those who use English in Google Calendar.
At the moment, there are 6 functions and tasks:

The background image for the calendar;

Adding documents Goole Docs to the event;

The ability to monitor the time of day in different time zones;

The panel of quick transition to the desired date (IMHO: it would be better to implement it in the "mini-calendar" on the left);
')

Displaying the status of contacts: busy or free;

A dashboard that lets you keep track of things by time.
In the connected state, along with the non experimental task panel, some functions look like this:

And all this can be minimized or hidden with one click of the mouse. Also in the English version below there is a string of hints.
I personally liked the “tasks” and “screensaver”, I would like the ability to add gadgets by URL, like in Gmail. Considering the possibility of sending free SMS alerts, the addition of new features will open up new potential uses of the calendar, such as transforming RSS feeds into a calendar with SMS alerts about new messages and the like.
And now quite tasty and decently updated service.
