AFP and Google settle copyright claims
RBC 04/06/2007, New York 22:20:10 French news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) and the American Internet giant Google Inc. signed an agreement governing claims of copyright infringement, the Associated Press reported.
In March 2005 AFP filed a lawsuit against Google, accusing the Internet company of copyright infringement when using news and photos of the agency.
Under the agreement, Google will have the right to use the headlines and photos of the agency in Google News and its other services. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In August 2006 Google has entered into a similar agreement with the American news agency The Associated Press.
