How small the world sometimes seems ... A week ago, our colleague and friend from Germany, Frank Fabian, drove into our office. After drinking tea with him and discussing our plans, we shook his hand and said goodbye. And the very next day the first entry appeared in the
blog of the FACT project - about the first day in a big adventure, which was started by 35 volunteers from Germany and Russia.
Their goal is to build the first pedestrian tourist path along the northern coast of Baikal, 100 kilometers from the mouth of the Upper Angara to the hot springs of the Khakusy. Their idea is to open the way to Baikal, such as it is not known either in the world or in Russia.
Having broken up into 4 groups under the leadership of brigadiers who have been to those places more than once, participants of the combined Baikalplan projects from Germany and BBT from Russia will clear the coast from debris and adapt difficult places for future tourists (Vladimir Hidekil's group even built a bridge over the Ayayu River). They coordinate all the work with the administration of the Barguzinsky Reserve and the local authorities.

The adventure has already exceeded its equator, and descriptions of events in two languages appear
on the project’s blog every day. An English
channel is also available
on Twitter , which Natasha Luzhkov is leading - it’s even more interesting to watch the guys, as the format of short messages only fits something like “they saw bear tracks again. There are so many of them here! ”
Support our discoverers! Although on the 4th day they met a tourist from South Africa, so they didn’t really like the “discoverers” ... But they need our support from this no less :)
