Zero in the table

Certainly, the content of the table cells is checked simply as a string in a logical context (such as " $s = "0"; if ($s) {... "). This creates the following problem.

The HTML code for the <table><tr><td>0</td></tr></table> cell does not create:
0

And such HTML code <table><tr><td>0 </td></tr></table> (added a space after zero) already creates:
0
