Transport and payment terminals

This article is rather an assumption, because The author has a rough idea of the components of this project.

So, I decided to return to the topics of touch-screen kiosks and their irrational use. Little idea was born a long time ago, but now I decided to repulse on the very day when I was tormented with transport ...

Imagine. Stand at the bus stop, wait for the desired bus and do not wait. Buses usually run on a schedule and stick to a schedule. So, you approach the terminal and see a similar interface:

Columns: Vehicle number, type (bus, minibus, trolleybus, etc.), last time passed (a) (time), elapsed time (minutes), period (minutes) ... perhaps also the addition of elements such as time arrival (approximately) and something else was, but flew out of my head, I will add later)

Agree, it is convenient.

How to do it?

Well, there are several options:

As for the terminal, you only need to insert the receiver of a limited range and screw it to the terminal system through the software so that different frequencies for different vehicles can be recognized. Well, there’s nothing much to say, I’ll show a better picture that I only concocted. I can not vouch for the quality, because did quickly.

showed in the figure the range of the receiver, the stop for our city is normal.

On the bus side, things are a little more complicated:

Glonass

you all know that they are going to equip transport with our new-fangled Glonass system (or maybe they already equip it, I don’t know to be honest). So here. I do not know whether it will be possible to use this transmitter as a signal. If it is possible, then forward, the glonass signal has its own frequency for each vehicle, enters the receiver's signal at the terminal, and the software analyzes what kind of transport it is and writes the data into the table.

3rd party transmitter

The idea is the same as in GLONASS, but simply the cost of third-party transmitters and only transmitters.

The essence of the idea is as follows (schematically)

So, that's kind of nothing special, all the elements are familiar, but this combination turned out to be an interesting little idea. Although the implementation of this idea seems to me even more illusory than my previous topic with the idea of "The city map in payment terminals" , but this is still food for thought. )

upd. in addition to gprs, you can throw updates about accidents, etc., so that people do not stand and wait for some routes in vain, but this is another story.

Thank you for your attention, all the good ideas.
