Opposition sites become victims of DDoS attacks
Four sites of political opposition today underwent a DDoS attack and “lay” for about two and a half hours, starting at 12.00 Moscow time. Currently, only the Dissenters' March website is unavailable, the rest - Kasparov.Ru , the sites of the United Civil Front and the Other Russia coalition - have restored their work.
An attempt to block the resources of the "Other Russia" in the press service of the coalition is associated with holding in Moscow and St. Petersburg shares under the general title "March of Dissent", according to Kasparov.Ru website. The possibility of repeating attacks in the near future is not excluded.
The victims are now finding out from the provider what the problem was exactly, said Marina Litvinovich, Kasparova’s advisor.
