Since ancient times, it was believed that if you give a name to a place, it will find its soul and become alive. And the one who gives the name will be the owner of this place. That's why we decided to give names to very important places where we have to spend a lot of time - meeting rooms in the future new HP office in the Metropolis complex on Leningradskoye Highway 16.
In the new building, HP Russia will occupy the top three floors, each of which will have several conference rooms. They are divided into two large groups: for internal and for external meetings. We will also have one large room with moving partitions for free organization of space and one room for especially important meetings.
For each of these groups, we decided to choose our own theme for the names and announced the collection of ideas among the employees. It was pleasant to see that already on the first day several dozen proposals were received, some with detailed comments. Among the ideas were the fruits of the flight of fantasy (“medicinal herbs of central Russia”, “brands of Soviet and Russian cars”, “Trans-Siberian Railway Station”, etc.), as well as extremely rational options - to call the rooms strictly according to numbers, so that and permanently eliminate confusion and room searches according to the floor plan.

Voting, which was announced on the internal site after collecting ideas, has not yet been completed, and now several versions of the names go nose to nose: “names of stars”, “great scientists of the world” and “old streets of Moscow” for internal rooms, “rivers of Russia "," The great Russian scientists "and" the names of the planets and asteroids "- for external. A big room with equal chances can be called the “Kremlin” or “Russia”, and a special room - the “Moon” or “Moscow”.
As you can see, the names are very different, and the mood they will create will also be very different. And even if belief in the magical power of names is only superstition, the fun we all get from the process is a fact.
