We have already mentioned that Evernote is somewhat different from human memory. The latter deteriorates with age, while Evernote eventually learns to “remember” notes better and better by expanding the search functionality and the emergence of other features. Recently this thesis received another confirmation: we have completed the re-indexing of the text in the images in the old notes of users of the Russian version of Evernote.
Shortly after the launch of the localized version in April, some users complained that only English text was still recognized on the photographs and scans added before the official Russification. Now this inconvenience when searching for old notes with pictures has been resolved. ')
Now the text is recognized in all images that were uploaded before May 1, 2009 into accounts created before April 2, 2009 (the launch date of the Russian version). In total, about 50,000 images were newly recognized.
