My modest
zoclock program, which I
recently wrote about , aroused unexpectedly great interest. None of my topics have caused such a resonance yet, I received not only a lot of comments and suggestions, but many private messages! And so (much later promised :-)) I post a new version that takes into account many wishes, including
- clock display modes: 1-12, 1-12 + am / pm, 0-23
- tool tip
- ability to display unixtime
- ability to switch to hexadecimal system
- many advanced settings
- the mode "on top of other windows" (appeared in v.1.0.1)
In addition, deb-packages were prepared, the assembly procedure and the
internal architecture of code organization were simplified.

I tried to show all available settings in this screenshot.
Here, it seems to me, there is nothing to comment on :-)

A couple of words about binary distributions
I prepared
two debs compiled on Ubuntu-9 and Ububntu-8 (for me it was unexpected and unpleasant news that in these two distributions, the Qt library packages are called differently; in order to correctly write dependencies, you have to make different packages ).
I also promised to make a distribution under Windows, but everything turned out to be very difficult. First, I did not manage to compile a static exe-schnick. There are difficulties that even the habr-community could not resolve. The dynamic version drags along three DDLs, which looks like something not very beautiful. In addition, the Windows distribution is very heavy! Now I am playing with Qt build options with the goal of making it easier. If you get something travel, then I will post it.
Acknowledgments
If you like all this, then you can, with a clear conscience, plus the people who actively participated in the project. I would like to emphasize two people Habra:
- Legh - suggestions, patches, discussions, tests
- TeAnton - revision of the code and valuable suggestions for its improvement (I know, I know, not all of it is imported, some didn’t have time, some I can argue why I stayed with my opinion :-))
- And of course, thanks to everyone who participated in the discussion of the previous version of zoclock!
Plans
I do not think that the development of zoclock will stop soon :-) I am waiting for suggestions, suggestions ... Thank you all!
