For the past 5 months, I have been using it and have been using the simple but handy “
Tuned Google SERPs ” script, which adds a few features to Google’s search results. Two features will be interesting mainly to those who promote their sites. But the third one greatly facilitates daily web surfing by adding a reference to “cached text only”:

What it is? As we know, Google provides the most convenient opportunity to view a copy of the indexed web page stored directly on its servers. Sites sometimes close, sometimes they just fall from habraeffekt, articles remove or close access to them. Google's cache in this case - just salvation. However, if the site is closed, or just slows down, the browser renders the cached page for a very long time (until all requests to external objects are completed).
')
Here, Google seems to be rescuing again - in the header of the cached page there is a link “Text-only version”, on which an absolutely autonomous copy of the page opens. But here's a bad luck - in order to access this copy, we first have to spend time opening the copy with a bunch of external objects. Uncomfortable! This problem is solved by the script - now you can open the autonomous cached page directly from Google search results.
Yes, it's an Internet accelerator!
As mentioned above, I planned to use the function to open dead sites, however, as it turned out, this is only a special case. The main use of the script is
Internet acceleration . Making a search for any reference information, for example, for writing articles, I open dozens of pages for one or two paragraphs. Information is accompanied by tons of noise data - website design, advertising, widgets. All this is crammed with pictures, javascripts, styles, flash. Add to this the fact that there are very few ideal hosting sites, and even a bare page without external objects often loads slowly.
With the help of this script, I load pages directly from Google's high-speed distributed hosting, excluding any noise information. And I don’t even need to change the browser settings - at any time I have access to the original page, with all its decorations.
The remaining two features of the script can be interesting to those who support and promote their sites in Google. One of them is the addition of
ordinal numbers to sites in the results (this is not in Google, unlike all other search engines), the other is the
highlight in pink of selected sites (for example, spun blogs, or just sites you trust). The list of favorite sites can be changed by editing the
script file .
