Recently, on June 19, a new version of our favorite framework MooTools was released.
Developers report that this is the latest intermediate version before moving on to version 2.0. Work on version 1.2.3 is basically bug fixes. But there was one important feature: the ability to combine MooTools with other frameworks. This mechanism works like this: the function name $ is changed to document.id (), but if MooTools notices that the $ variable (most conflicting, agree) is not busy, then it makes $ wrapper for document.id (). Due to such changes, developers, for compatibility, ask to make plugins using document.id ().
As well as the developers promise release of version 2.0 this summer, well, we are waiting ...
