I was at the seminar this year, there among the conversations about search engine optimization and context, I touched on the topic of promotion in blogs, forums and social networks.
With blogs and forums, everything is clear, has long been used.
But what about groups in social networks? I specifically spent 15 minutes of time to hear from the visiting gurus the promotext about “how great it is”, “how it helps in all situations”, but not a word about practice.
How I see myself - a little sense. Most of the users joining groups by invitations of unknown people do it from nothing to do and do not really follow the efforts of content managers. On classmates, this is further aggravated by the group entry system.

As a conclusion: groups are needed for the development of the budget by companies and are not needed for ordinary people.
