The Majilis (Parliament) of Kazakhstan agreed with the amendments to the draft law “On introducing amendments and addenda to some legislative acts on information and communication networks”. Now, according to the law, all Internet resources, such as websites, chat rooms, blogs, online stores, electronic libraries, are equal to the media, and authors of blogs and posts in social networks or forums are given the status of a journalist with appropriate criminal and civil liability. .

The main purpose of the draft law is to improve the regulation of relations connected with the dissemination of information in Kazakhstan , in connection with which, apparently, an amendment was made to the document, according to which the message of a foreign media about events in Kazakhstan may be questioned and challenged by the applicant in the republic. kt.kz
