Alexander Nesterov was dismissed from the position of Sky Link CEO due to his transfer to another job, the company said. In less than four years of Sky Link’s existence, its fourth CEO has already been retired.
Being appointed last fall, Nesterov launched a stormy activity. Before him, Sky Link was a mobile operator oriented to multi-speaking subscribers, and high-speed data transmission, not available to subscribers of other networks, was offered only as a “dessert”. In accordance with the strategy adopted by Nesterev, the operator relied on data transfer, that is, he began to position himself as a mobile Internet provider. In particular, Sky Link dramatically reduced the price of traffic - to $ 0.04-0.07 / MB instead of the standard for the mobile Internet $ 0.2-0.25 / MB.
Taking into account the fact that the speed in Sky Link reaches 2.4 Mbps, it is not surprising that half of the new connections of the operator have come from data-oriented tariffs. And for two more weeks Nesterov expressed his satisfaction with this state of affairs.

But now he is gone. The new director general (while the former deputy Nesterov, Vladislav Vasin, has become acting) will be tough, because the delivery of 3G licenses for GSM cellular operators, which marks the end of Sky Link's monopoly on 3G, is coming.
