looking for a simple version control, so to speak

So the task is there are changing and regularly added simple plain txt files (or with some kind of “tags” it doesn't matter). I would like to have for them some kind of centralized storage with tracking the change and storage of backups of previous versions, and access to synchronization and commit files by login password. Will be used by me alone, but from several machines

What do you advise?
