Owlread - Twitter Apps Client in Google Apps Style

I started using Twitter for quite a long time and found that it is just an excellent means of quickly obtaining information, it allows you to be aware of events and news literally every second. There was one problem - I did not find (at that time) pleasant and comfortable clients that would meet my requirements:

1. Customer must be online. I am a longtime supporter of online applications, so I actively use Google Apps. It's so convenient to sit at any computer connected to the Internet and get your favorite work environment.
2. The client should be able to break friends on Twitter into groups. Have you ever tried to feed a twitter message from 50 friends? And from 100? Looking ahead, I will say that, broken down by subject, they read much better.
3. The client must be able to work with multiple accounts. I have several Twitter accounts and I wanted to post and reply from one place.
4. The client should be able to work with branches on Twitter. Yes, on Twitter there is the possibility of branched discussions, the same as the comments on Habré.
5. The client must have a convenient interface. In my opinion, Google Reader has a wonderful interface, convenient for reading news.

So, the decision was made immediately - you need to create your bike client for Twitter.

Mootools and Codeigniter were taken and the service http://owlread.com was created in its free time.


Then I tried to make a client with all the features that I missed so much:

• Online application (web2.0). All your settings will remain in any workplace.
  Convenient reading of Twitter statuses. Two display modes, quick search. Reading as a group of friends, and separately, and much more.
• Friends can be divided into groups (they are called tags).
• Support multiple accounts. You can post and read simultaneously from multiple accounts.
• Twitter search support. You can create several “search folders” with your own settings. The system will automatically suck the results for you. Convenient to track any events, such as hashtags.
  
  
  
• View the full threads of discussions on Twitter. And there are separate pages for branches, for example: owlread.com/1482534163 , where you can also participate or send a link to someone.
• Convenient posting. Three options: fast posting, advanced posting and responses.
  - Fast posting is always available in the Owlread interface, for instant message sending from the current active account.
  - In the advanced posting, you can select the account (s) from which to post, the ability to disable the automatic urlo shortener, and also insert special characters into the input field, which can sometimes shorten the post by a whole word, for example. In the future, it is planned to expand the possibilities of this option.

The service was created entirely by me, Just For Fun. Except for the logo, on which I spent some money. At the moment, it is in the “almost beta” stage, so there are glitches and deficiencies, but I try to fix them actively.
Now the registration is open for everyone, for this you need to go to the page owlread.com/registration.html and enter your login and password for Twitter, the service will automatically register you and you can immediately start using.
