Streber is a simple but functional ticker system.

Once, in order to accompany small tasks, I needed a simple ticker system. To make it easier for customers to interact and exchange information: do not forget all their wishes, discuss and report on the fact of their execution. The need for such a system, I think, arises among many, especially among freelancers. At least for self-organization of their work. So I will save you time looking for a decent option.

The requirements were minimal:

Began to search and sort through the options. As a result, he focused on the Streber system from German developers (the word in translation means "careerist").

It was the easiest, with the simplest and most logical design system of all free systems that I found. The installation took 5 minutes. Then nothing had to be tweaked. Russian localization is inside. It is turned on either by default on the whole (handles in the config), or individually (in the settings of the user). In some places, the translation is certainly crooked, but not critical.

Russian localization looks like this - see Streber demo in Russian

And now about the functional. Streber has the following entities - users, contacts, projects. Ticket can be attached to pprojects. There is a separation of user access to various projects. You can attach files to the ticket (screenshot or TK in doc format, for example). There is a wiki markup in the editor, as well as control over the execution of the ticket and email notifications. This set of advantages is completed by a fairly strict and logical design without unnecessary frills.

He dropped the link to his clients, briefly explained to them the principles of work - they say, these are the projects, these are the tickets for them, these are the people who are doing them now. I created examples, and the work began to boil. Quickly figured out and through the day already actively used. And that's it!

On some forum I saw the comment of a person who wrote how they successfully use Streber to organize development in their small web-studio. Of course, Streber is not a Trac with its flexibility, but for such a scale its functionality is enough with its head.
