Microsoft Executive Director Steve Ballmer officially announced that the company is ready to spend more than one billion dollars on the development of the Internet. In particular, the representative of small-scale in his statement made a bias on the development of Internet search, in which the company is ready to invest up to 10% of its annual income. And Microsoft’s (official) revenue in 2008 alone amounted to about 22 billion. Dollars, naturally. To journalists' questions - and, strictly speaking, where will such sums go? - Ballmer smiled politely and left the topic. But, most likely, the main capital will go to the development and promotion of the search service Bing, which Microsoft launched in June of this year, to the masses. Now it is known that about $ 100 million has already been allocated for Bing promotion promotions. Steve Ballmer also modestly reported that Microsoft is aiming to increase its share in the Internet search to 80% in a few years. And this is a serious bid for a monopoly. This means that a great and terrible Google has a worthy competitor. And not just a competitor, but, most likely, a future successor. But is it really possible to move Google now?
