I decided within my blog to acquaint Habra readers with the news of the Root.UA portal , in particular, with the releases of our new editions, as well as with the events that we organize or participate in.
To begin, I will tell you a little about our publications. We have two of them. This is RootUA magazine and FOSS News .
With the first edition, someone is probably already familiar. The magazine started at the end of 2004 and until the end of 2008 was electronic. Then we tried to translate it into a print format and released two numbers. But unfortunately the crisis did not allow to continue what was started and the publication was frozen. We are now ready for a new release. It will be electronic and, like the good old days, will be available for free download. Fans of reading printed versions of publications will be able to order the magazine from our portal.
The second edition is the newspaper FOSS News which we started to publish since the end of 2008. On its pages the main focus is on the coverage and analysis of the most exciting FOSS news, events and events. In each issue - a specialized article. The publication can also be downloaded from our website or try to find it in Odessa in printed form (as an option, you can always take it from me, after contacting me beforehand).
On our portal is available for download the entire archive of issues of both the magazine and the newspaper .

Yesterday the sixth edition of the newspaper FOSS News was released . In this issue: FOSS World News, Event Calendar: OpenBSD in Ukraine and Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe 2009, Article: Backup and Restore OpenVZ Containers.
The first and second issues of the printed version of RootUA magazine have become available for free download.
Due to the fact that the journal has been frozen for a long time, I again begin the search for new authors for our publications.
