Google is testing television advertising

Google Inc. announced the test launch of the Google TV project, which in the future will allow advertisers to post videos on television in automatic mode. EchoStar and Astound Cable agreed to act as partners.

The whole process - starting from loading the video and ending with the preparation of reports - is fully automated. Advertisers will be offered a simple working interface familiar to those who have already worked with AdWords. The fee will be charged per thousand impressions, and the advertiser will be able to pick up the audience, determine the time, the number of impressions and the channel where the videos will be shown.
