Think about links

Annoyed when the link-image and the link-signature to it are two different links leading to the same place. In this case, suggesting a link-image, the link-signature, of course, is not highlighted. At this moment I start to think that perhaps the link-signature leads to another place, and move the cursor to it, and begin to compare in memory the URLs of these two links. Although you could not do this, if you hover over the image, the signature to it would also highlight.

In my practice, in 90% percent of cases, it was possible, after some thought, to make them one link, including the image in the link-signature and, then, rendering it visually using CSS .

Another similar topic is when the link has an icon that is not a link. How so? Same one.

Another common “disease” of links is links on a page to itself. In navigation, in the text, but no matter where. It should not be like that. Any link must perform an action, a transition. It would seem that this is a well-known truth, however, violated on the vast majority of sites. If your “super engine” or “super template” does not allow you to do this - do not cover it up, rewrite the engine.

When I talk about all this in a conversation with someone, they start accusing me of perfectionism. And it seems to me that these are things that every good web developer should think about, at least once. What do you think?
