Just want to apologize for such a brief and quick presentation. The fact is that just 30 minutes ago I completed the installation and decided to unsubscribe to the
blog success, because I found very little centralized information on such a relevant topic. Then I went to my favorite Habr and saw the articles:
"Accelerate Windows 7. Part 1" and the answer to it "Accelerate Windows 7. Part Last." Since both of these articles do not reveal the real state of affairs, although they give some advice, I decided to post my experience here, because, probably, many of you will also find it useful to know. So:
I have an AAO netbook with 1Gb DDR, 16Gb SSD and Windows XP on board yesterday. Now this is a netbook with Windows 7 RC 7100. I installed the seven with USB Flash 4Gb. How to do this is described in detail in
this article.
After installing Windows 7, it turned quite slowly. For a start, I turned off disk indexing, then turned off the paging file, turned off all effects. It gave nothing. Searching the forums gave me a tip to the driver working with recording files on an SSD -
Flashpoint . At the time of writing, this is beta5 version (beta6 does not work on the seven!). At your own risk ... Installed, OH SHIT has rebooted !!! Windows ran 10 times faster! I do not joke like heaven and earth. Faster than XP with the EFW Tool. Everyone put Windows 7 on a netbook! ;)
PS For XP Flashpoint is also suitable!
If it is transferred to the collective, I will add screenshots and provide additional information.
Good luck in your experiments! I will go so far to enjoy the work of Seven :)
