In early March of this year,
information appeared on the Web (with reference to the words of one of the top managers of nVidia) that the company is ready to begin developing and quickly releasing x86-compatible processors. Unfortunately, these rumors remained rumors. nVidia denied them completely.
The president and CEO of nVidia, Jen-Sung Juan, in an interview with the The York Times,
said that developing a chip with x86 architecture is by no means a priority task. In addition, Mr. Juan said that "if nVidia is developing such a product, then he knows nothing about it."
So while about the competition of nVidia and CPU grandeur grandees can be forgotten. Nvidia has so many areas of work and good products. Graphic accelerators, Ion, CUDA, Tegra ... Nevertheless, it is a pity. I personally would not mind at all in a couple of years to try a bundle of CPU and GPU from nVidia.

PS By the way, in the same interview, nVidia’s president called Intel a deceitful swindler who abused their dominant market position. Not so bad hit.
