Google sent out a virus to 50,000 users

Google accidentally sent out 50,000 Google Video Blog users to the Nyxem malware, also known as MyWife, Kama-Sutra or Blackmal. The official announcement of this was published by the Google Video Team.

As noted in the Google notification, on the evening of November 7, three dangerous messages were posted on the Google Video site that contained the Kama-Sutra virus. In addition, the worm was emailed to subscribers to the Google Video Blog. Users who believe that the virus could get on their computers, Google is strongly recommended to check hard drives with antivirus. Those who do not have antivirus software installed are encouraged to download the Norton AntiVirus package.

Google apologizes for the inconvenience and promises to take the necessary measures to avoid a recurrence of the unpleasant situation in the future. Currently, all malicious posts from Google Video have been removed.
