Freelance - the story of one project

Developing one little-known cms, one day I wanted to find out - how many people, in principle, know about it and generally work with it. For these purposes, a project was created on the main freelance exchanges to create a site on this cms. Project as a project, but with one prerequisite - experience with this cms.
The result was slightly different than expected, but rather interesting.

This week, 31 people responded to the project.
After a brief conversation, it turned out that 21 of them did not work with the system. Those. customer wishes were passed by. Well, it still did not go anywhere.
The remaining 10 claimed to have worked with the system and have finished work. But when asked to show them, the 3rd politely kept silent, the 2nd said “I’ll pick up projects and drop the links” and disappeared. Among them were even web studios.
With the rest of the 5th it turned out quite funny. They, sometimes even with “foaming at the mouth”, claimed that they made projects from the portfolio on our cms site, or tried to give out sites made to other cms for “those that need”, and some even took part in the development of cms.

Which of these can be concluded? Customers - be careful when choosing candidates, the reputation of freelancers spoil exactly at the expense of such “all-powerful” people. They are important to take the project at any cost, and then how to get ...
