Strange problems with the Presidential Library named after B.N. Yeltsin

The library itself opened on May 27, documents on the site began to appear just now.

Today I read in “Internet Things”: The very first thing that catches your eye is that you need to install the Microsoft Silverlight plugin, which versions are for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome browsers. At the same time, Silverlight officially supports only Windows and Mac OS X. Another limitation is that 3D viewing of documents is possible only in IE, only 2D mode is available to users of other browsers.

To me, the Linux user was somehow hurt. And it's not clear. It seems to me that money for the development of such large-scale government development is allocated enough to find normal web developers who know how to create websites that can work equally well in most used operating systems and browsers. At the same time, on February 18, Mr. Medvedev spoke of the need to promote open source software in schools:

“Speaking with the opening speech at the meeting of the Council for the Development of the Information Society in Russia, Dmitry Medvedev also mentioned the problems of information technologies in the social sphere, where special attention is paid to free software.

The President of the Russian Federation stated his position on free software in this way: “Another topic is information technologies in the social sphere. Now we need to start mass education of school teachers for new technologies. We actually tried to do it in the framework of a national project. Probably, something has been done, but for now this is only the very beginning. We need to think about how to move on - to use domestic free software. I dealt with this topic, we have the results, we have already prepared our programs, which allow us to create, in fact, a product of absolutely qualitative, based on free software, but already tied to our realities. ”

This is where the inconsistency turns out ... It seems that the library for schoolchildren and students, too, and even mostly for them. But only after the planned transition of these students and schoolchildren to free software, they will not be able to use the library with all its charms.

Something reminds me of a story with a school portal ...

PS I have a Moonlight plugin for FF, but something also does not work with it in 2D or 3D mode. Although the list of necessary software for working with the Moonlight library is indicated.
PPS if you lower karma, then at least speak for what :( and it’s really a shame
