George Orwell was right

The house where the famous writer George Orwell, the author of "Animal Farm" and "1984" lived and worked, is today under the supervision of several dozen video cameras around the clock. The nightmare called “Big Brother” came to life 50 years after the death of the great anti-utopian.

In a radius of about 180 meters there are 32 surveillance cameras. Several cameras look into the windows of apartments, one intently examining visitors to the Compton Arms pub, where the writer liked to mess around, another one is in a grocery store nearby.
