The mouse cursor is the source of the hidden threat.

A very serious mistake was found in the Windows family of operating systems (including the new-fashioned Vista), allowing hackers to execute applications remotely.

Blame it all - the Windows Animated Cursor module, which allows you to display the animation in the place where the mouse cursor is. An attacker can send a “false” animated cursor disguised under a different extension, and when a trusting user tries to open a file sent to him, it will be too late to grab his head.

True, Microsoft states that the error detected so far is not such a danger, but the patch will be released as soon as possible.
