There is something to think about at Twitter headquarters
Twitter has a problem not only with how to keep the user. According to the Harvard Business School study , the average number of messages sent by the Twitter user is one. It turned out that most messages are sent only by a small group of users.
Behind 90% of all messages are back only 10% of users. This figure is less than in a typical social network or on Wikipedia, where the ratio is 15% to 90%. Harvard researchers conclude that Twitter "is more like a one-way service (from one to many) distribution than a two-way communication network."
Twitter executives said they are working on how to increase user involvement in the service. Last month, a survey showed that 60% of new users drop out of service a month after registration.
