The Japanese invented the seat "antison"

Japanese scientists have developed a car seat, which determines that the driver fell asleep.

Japanese scientists have developed a car seat, which with the help of a special sensor system determines that the driver has fallen asleep, according to the Japanese newspaper Asahi.

Researchers from Oita University of Tokyo, together with Shimano Health Institute and Delta Tuling, a company engaged in the production of automotive components, presented their development in February at a symposium at Tokyo University.

The creators of the chair investigated and studied the physiological features of sleeping people, paying particular attention to the change in the frequency of the pulse and breathing 10 minutes before a person falls asleep. After that, a system of sensors was developed to track these changes. Such sensors are then embedded in the car seat.

The technology has successfully passed the tests, and the developers claim that the sensors will remove the correct information, even if the person is wearing very thick clothes.

The chair can recognize when a person begins to fall asleep, but cannot yet prevent it. The alarm system, which automatically turns on when the driver is on the verge of sleep, is planned to be tested in the near future.
