As you know, Pixel Qi has become famous not only for the promise of a $ 75 laptop, but also for developing a new generation of displays for portable computers. The novelty from Pixel Qi is called 3Qi and can work in several different modes - color, monochrome and electronic paper, optimally suitable for reading. Yesterday, the first photos of this screen appeared in the blog of company founder Mary Lou Jepsen.

In the first photo two identical 10-inch display. The first is included in the normal LCD mode with backlight, and the second in the economical "e-paper mode". The second photo is a display in direct sunlight.

Judging by the illustrations, the “pre-launch readiness” was announced in the development team, since everything looks quite to itself a worker. Mary Lou Lou herself says that in the fall, the displays will appear as a component of new netbook models.
