Probably many have already heard about the opening of the Presidential Library in Russia, where all the publications and documents are digitized and available not only to presidents, but also to ordinary visitors.
The library is located in the historic building of the Holy Synod of Government in St. Petersburg. The library is based on electronic publications, the main topics of which are issues of the Russian statehood.
The opening ceremony of the Presidential Library named after B.N. Yeltsin, headed by Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev, took place on May 27, 2009.
')
Dmitry Medvedev: “
We created this library not for Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev and not for the future leaders of the Russian Federation, but for a huge number of our citizens to use it. Therefore, these electronic forms, the possibility of electronic access to the annals of the library, to its archives - it is necessary to do everything perfectly functioning . ”
It is especially pleasant that our
Disk Write Copy system software was chosen as a means of operating system stability and installed on workstations in electronic reading rooms.
Due to this, reading room computers will be reliably protected from failures and be in a given state every day, and the absence of inoperative terminals will allow the library to provide access to the maximum number of visitors.
Naturally Disk Write Copy will protect not only the operating systems, but also the programs installed on them, with all the settings of system administrators.
Access to the library is made by appointment.
