WiMAX Android device

Since the beginning of the year, I would even say from the beginning of the previous one, I dreamed of a communicator with third-generation / fourth-generation communication support, and even so that all networks were deployed in my city (yes, I live in Moscow :), and we are not all smooth here with them), and even that the device's OS was not WM, which I was tired of.

In general, these dreams were rather illusive, until Android from Google suddenly appeared, Yota's WiMAX would soon be put into commercial operation, and with absolutely acceptable tariffs, speed and coverage. Somehow it all turns out very well. True, nowhere could I find information about a device in which both WiMAX and Android would be at the same time.

But today I accidentally stumbled upon a 3dnews.ru article about Yota'e and it says that:

In addition to the HTC Max 4G terminal, which currently has sales of approximately 16-17 thousand devices, by the end of the third quarter of 2009, two new smart mobile terminals will be presented to users - made by Samsung (running Windows Mobile) and another vendor, whose name is not yet called ( running Android ).

Less is known about the second terminal - most likely it will be a touch-screen device with a diagonal of 3.5 inches and running Android, somewhat resembling the well-known G1. This OS is chosen because it provides more opportunities for the developer to access and refine the “telephone” functions, which in Windows Mobile are severely limited to OS developers. Qwerty-keyboard in this terminal will not be - only the touch. Well, a powerful battery that could ensure the device's active operation for several days. Note that at the moment in Yota Lab there is a special working group to address issues of energy saving when the communicator is working - work is underway to optimize energy consumption when working in an unstable area, to reduce energy costs during information transfer, etc.

')

On the one hand , it may be that Yota is working on two more mobile devices, someone, like me, still does not know.

On the other hand , was this information published in mid-April, and is it possible that something has changed since then?

I would very much like to know what the habras-residents think about what we can expect: what kind of device will it be? What kind of manufacturer? How will it be integrated with Android?
