Nokia 6070 Modding

The original object is a strongly used ear phone with a shabby body and a scratched cover and screen. was originally going to sell it on the radio market, but decided to experiment and try to give it a second life. I had to buy on the radio market a singed Chinese case (15 UAH), since the old reanimated was useless.
Instruments:
- stencil
- spray gold paint for plastic
- lacquer (if there is no technical at hand - nail polish fixer will completely come off)
- self-adhesive rhinestones (originally planned to make a design in the style of steampunk, but Kotovka with golden screws and gears, alas, fell the death of the brave in the war with the harvest shortly before)

1. The first stage - the analysis of the phone. In this case, the main thing is not to lose anything, nothing to break (especially the fragile mounting ears at the side buttons), and remove everything that is, in principle, removed from the case.

2. Next side of the body must be cleaned from old paint with sandpaper. It is desirable to do this in two stages - the paint is removed with a large sandpaper, and the surface is cleaned with a zero sandpaper. The same should be done with small parts of the case - the bottom cap and volume button.
After that, the parts need to be rinsed to wash off the dust from the stripping and dry.

3. The side part is covered with gold paint in several layers, until you get a smooth golden color. The minus of the paint I used was even dried, it was slightly sticky, although it was not washed off, so I had to add a varnishing step.

4. While the side is drying, you can cover the decoration of the lid. For this, a stencil is pasted on it and the paint is quite densely sprayed.

5. For further operations, it is necessary to glue the parts with a film that should not be painted - the camera and the glass of the screen. the remaining open parts are painted so that there is only a golden spray, and not a dense layer.

6. When everything painted dries, it is necessary to carefully varnish it.

7. Budget decoration options - self-adhesive rhinestones. despite the fact that they are easily peeled off from the film on which they are sold, it is better to glue them correctly on the case with the first attempt, since if you try to tear it off and re-stick it, you can damage the paint and varnish layer.
