The problem with notifications about calendar events in Win Mobile

I have a lot of events tied to notifications in the communicator on Windows Mobile 6.1. It is very convenient - I almost never use the alarm clock, and I always remember about events. But there was a nuisance - a few days ago, notifications ceased to work. The reboot, it’s a Soft Reset, didn’t help, but I don’t really want to make a Hard Reset - the calendar, SMS, notes and address book will not be lost, for they are in MyPhone , but I really don’t want to reinstall all the software and re-configure the settings. Therefore engaged in googling.



The Russian part of the Internet was not particularly pleased with the solution to the problem, but in the English part of the World Wide Web a description of a similar problem and a solution was found quite quickly, and it was dated 2004, i.e. For 5 years, the bug in Vimo was not fixed.



Symptoms : notifications for calendar events do not work.

Reason : incorrect notification in the notification queue

Troubleshooting : transfer the clock a minute ago, apply the transfer, transfer back to the normal time and apply. This will clear the notification queue, incl. and from the blocking notification, after which the notification system will return to life.
