Price of freedom

“The prices for renting office square meters make you wonder: what a huge part of the added value produced by office plankton (it is assumed that if it is hired, then it is greater than zero) goes to the fact that by and large can be replaced by a well-thought organization of remote work (not to be confused with its fact) ... And are all these mega-businesses and shopping centers needed in the volume and format in which they exist now, in the era of progressive remote collaboration and online commerce? To this list of obsolete artifacts should be added such elements of the American dream of the 20th century, such as credit houses in the suburbs and cars used where necessary and where not necessary.

A crisis is essentially a confrontation between the born and the dying. Moreover, the old has actually died, but the new has not yet grown. As long as it stands on its feet, there may be a shortage of everything. We need a circle of professional communication, but not career intrigues. We need team collaboration, but not collective farm irresponsibility. We want to get out of the four walls, but not into the other four walls. And by and large, everyone wants this, both the Detroit workers and the New York bankers, but not everyone dares to say so, and even more to create opportunities for this - for themselves and others.

The coworking phenomenon, or office club, will fully flourish after the crisis has reached its peak, when everything that can be optimized is optimized, and the premises will be bought / rented only when there is a real need - that’s the opportunity to regularly gather in real territory for an adequate price. It will be a full-fledged asset that pays for the resources spent on it, and not just a salvation from boredom without loss of freedom. ”
