Bug Scroll Wheel of a4tech X-7 Series

The mice of A4Tech X-7 series are very good game manipulators in the budget category. A huge advantage of this series are high-end laser sensors, which are installed in the mouse at the cost of an order of magnitude higher. The X-7 looks pretty good, easy to manage, allows you to switch DPI on the fly up to 2500. Of course, there are also disadvantages, for example, the coverage is wiped, but still, in their price category, these devices have almost no analogues, and with similar shortcomings you can put up with it.

The only really annoying bug that interferes annoyingly and constantly, is a scroll glitch. Scrolling starts to fail, scrolling up instead of down or just jerks back and forth. In hot battles, this factor is vital for many, because the scroll wheel is usually fixed with a change of arms. However, with such a problem and surfing the site becomes unbearable.

It is good that this problem is solved with a little blood.

Six months after buying my XL-750F and I ran into scrolling glitches. Well, you see, it’s not the case when a favorite knife in your favorite Urban Terror instead of a machine gun suddenly turns out to be a knife, otherwise it’s even worse - a grenade. Clap, and already respawn.

The repair procedure is simple and effective. Parse the mouse.

On the one hand, the shaft on which the scroll wheel is "mounted" lies on the button of the central click, on the other hand it is inserted into the hexagonal groove responsible for the scrolling function itself.

Carefully remove the shaft with a scroll from the slot.

Here is our goal - a wheel with a groove enclosed in a metal frame.

Small pliers confidently compress the frame ...

... on both sides. Calculate the applied force experimentally, given that the very compressed frame will make the scroll wheel more tight. And of course, do not be particularly brutal, with remarkable force and breaking something quite real.

Check the result immediately, without closing the mouse body. For example, you can "scroll" this blog entry.

Well, if my advice reached you in time, and you did not have time to throw out your mouse. Do not throw out, the X-7 is really a good series.

Hope it was helpful. I'll go gather a couple of hundred phages with the wheel already revived ...

Dear A4Tech company, well, it's not enough to tear your hands off for such a poor scrolling mechanism, honestly. And for the mat still get - 800MP I bought for what? To take a nail file from my wife and finish a work surface for you that did not fit into a plastic base?
