This time in the article I would like to say a few words about how the
April Fools video card about Baro and Tagar was made .

We did not get in touch for a long time, but in no case should we think that we scored on the blog and especially on the cartoon. We simply stocked up fat for the summer, made a couple of interesting commercial works, and now we continue to work on the cartoon.
Everything is going according to plan, and now we are at one of the most labor-intensive stages: we are doing the final animation, which is not possible to post to the blog, so the posts will appear a little less often than before.

Well, and now about the main thing. This time in the article I would like to say a few words about how the April Fools video card about Baro and Tagar was made. Work began to be carried out according to a scheme that was already developed earlier and tested on the previous postcard. They all came together, waited a little while the muse and inspiration buddy would come up (for some reason they usually lag behind), and with their help they wrote a synopsis, and a little later the cartoon script. After that, the work began to boil. Immediately, they took up the storyboard: frame by frame, the script “came to life” in pictures.

But in order to continue working, one storyboard is not enough. After all, you need to determine the exact duration of the plans and in parallel to start writing music. Therefore, we made an animatic from the resulting storyboard and then moved on.
While we are working on the animatic, we are not sitting idly. The work on the sketch-art is in full swing: at this stage the appearance of the video, its color scheme and composition were determined.

And of course, a creative search. He always has a place at any stage. So I had to tinker with the image of the cartoon until everything was fine with the director.

Having finished with animatikom and sketches, you can safely take up the animation. We already wrote earlier that before starting work on any plan, we shoot it on camera. Thus, the whole team has the same idea about every second of the cartoon, which greatly simplifies the task and speeds up the process.
In general, the cartoon, no matter how hard I tried, did not cause any difficulties in the animation or in post-production.
It is also worth noting that the music format belongs to the Zdob si zdub team. The guys, as always, did an excellent job and deserve the highest praise!
And a little about plans for the future, until the end of the summer you will see two animated and rendered characters - the turkey Ilo and the spouse of Gypsy Zara.
And the most interesting thing is that in the end of August you will get a SURPRISE ...
