Today was announced the release of the beta version of the project Moblin 2.0, which, recall, is supervised by Intel and is aimed at creating the perfect operating environment for netbooks. As part of this project, they optimize the core to reduce power consumption, reduce the OS boot time, and develop a more convenient interface for low-resolution screens. It was the new interface and became the main innovation of the beta. It was developed using the Clutter library, which is also being developed by Intel, and which allows concentrating attention on the animation and aesthetic side of the matter when developing a graphical interface. In addition, the Moblin project is fully based on the developments of Gnome Mobile (GLib, PulseAudio, Bluez, Telepathy & etc)
