One of the interesting features of the new Kindle is a subscription to blogs , that is, an “e-reader” can be used as a regular RSS reader. Unfortunately, this functionality is paid, but even a paid subscription makes sense for those who are hooked on the Kindle and at the same time are a regular reader of one or two frequently updated blogs. Why only one or two? Because the subscription to each blog is sold separately (usually $ 1.99 per month), and only a millionaire can afford to pull a thousand or other RSS feeds. Until today, it was possible to subscribe only to selected blogs that are included in the official directory on the Amazon website. This was the main limiting factor, but yesterday everything changed with the launch of the Kindle Publishing for Blogs Beta program. Now absolutely any blog can get into the directory. It is enough to register the feed URL, and within 12-48 hours it will be formatted under the Kindle and it will become available for subscription. Amazon will set the cost of a subscription independently according to its known criteria, and the author of the blog can claim 30% of the revenue earned by the firm.
It is forbidden to distribute content through Kindle, there are no such blogs in the catalog.
