Founder of Pirate Bay calls for punishing IFPI lawyers with money DDo $ -aca

One of the owners of The Pirate Bay torrent tracker, Gottfrid Svartholm, came up with an interesting - and very legitimate - way to annoy a law firm defending the interests of the International Federation of Recording Companies IFPI. All sympathetic Internet users are invited to fill up the Danowsky & Partners office with micropayments amounting to about 1 Swedish krona.

This scheme is described in detail on a specially created website nternet-avgift , whose name translates as "Paying for the Internet." The key point of the scheme is that the commission is not charged only from the first thousand payments received to the bank account of the law office. For each next payment, the bank takes a fixed commission of 2 kroons.

Thus, a payment in the amount of 1 kroon will actually lead to the fact that Danowsky & Partners will not only become richer than this krone, but, on the contrary, will become poorer by the krone.

The first nice bonus is that the staff of the law firm is very small and all payments are processed manually. Also, according to Swedish law, the payer has the ability to call the transfer erroneous and withdraw money, which only aggravates the unenviable position of lawyers.

Of course, 1 krone is a paltry sum, but if 100 thousand people pay one krone, it will be crazy money. That is why Svartholm called this plan of revenge "a distributed attack on refusal in dollars" or, in abbreviated form, DDo $ -attack.
