Microsoft vs iTunes

Microsoft has created a promotional video in which it made it very clear that it is going to compete with Apple in the field of music services and formats. The video has become a real stone in the garden of the iTunes Store. There, a financial expert named Wes Moss criticizes Apple’s business model for selling music files and, on the contrary, praises the subscription format that Microsoft uses, particularly in the Zune Pass.

Moss cites the following argument: in order to fill all 120 GB of memory in a full-sized version of the iPod Classic, the user must put as many as 30 thousand dollars in the iTunes Store. With the Zune Pass, you only pay $ 15 a month and download an unlimited number of songs. The expert is silent about the unpleasant fact: the Zune Pass subscriber can only keep himself 10 songs a month, the rest are deleted until next month, and if you cancel the subscription, they are completely erased. In addition, music files from the Zune Pass can only be synchronized with the Zune players.

Recently, Microsoft has been paying more and more attention to Apple products in its commercials. In all appearances, Redmond has finally decided to respond to a long-term campaign against Windows led by Apple. There are videos on television that clearly explain to viewers that, with comparable characteristics, a Windows-based laptop is cheaper than a MacBook. Apparently, Microsoft is hurt by the fact that in recent years in the computer market, it has begun to seriously lose ground to its eternal rival.
