Radio-nurses interfere with Wi-Fi

At the request of the commission on radio frequencies of the British regulator Ofcom, a study was conducted and the main reasons for which the quality of Wi-Fi communication in major cities is deteriorating. Contrary to popular belief that the main reason is the large number of Wi-Fi hotspots that overlap each other, the problem turned out to be different.

The main enemy of Wi-Fi access points are ... ordinary baby monitors. These unlicensed devices operate in the 2.4 GHz band and give pickups, resulting in a deterioration in the quality of communication over Wi-Fi. Another source of interference in large cities are analogue transmitting antennas.

Experts presented a report on the study to the regulatory authorities.
