The statistical service "Rambler" published
another batch of statistics . Here are some trends of the "crisis" time.
Negative dynamics of the number of requests in relation to the indicators of March 2008 were shown by the requests “inflation” (-48%), “savings” (-22%) and “credit” (-21%). Users simply switched to other formulations (“devaluation” instead of “inflation”), including completely new ones: for example, the query “when the crisis ends” grew from 2 to 1695 requests, and “anecdotes about the crisis” from 3 to 1227.

The largest decline in attendance for the year, according to the Rambler Top100 rating, was recorded in the “Hobbies and Hobbies” sector (-79%). The largest increase in visits was registered in the sectors “industry” (197%), “cinema” (159%), and “programs” (128%); in the figure, the diameter of the circles corresponds to the size of the audience.

Noticeably added to the visits "freelance" sites and resources with free content.
The peak of "crisis" user requests fell in October - December 2008, an increase of 459-483%, the graph shows the change in the number of requests for the word "crisis" from March 2008 to March 2009.

When comparing "crisis" requests with other user requests, it turned out that a surge of interest in the crisis did not really affect other topics. By and large, the conflict in South Ossetia caused a greater “surge” of interest than this crisis.

And finally, two relatively optimistic results.
- 44% of users will not give up the Internet, even if they do not have enough money for food and clothing; on the chart - the willingness of users to abandon the Internet;

- 69% of Internet users use information from the Internet in their work, 52% download music and movies, 21% save on phone calls, and 7% earn money here;
