Immediately about the main thing - according to the manufacturer, 8 ordinary nickel-metal hydride batteries will be enough for a Gecko EduBook netbook for 4 hours of work, and the same amount of AA lithium batteries will be enough for a netbook to work for 6 hours. Netbook processor power consumption - only 1.2 watts.
If desired, you can install in the netbook and the usual battery, which is enough for 6 hours of work.

Specifications

Another unusual feature of the Gecko EduBook is the ability to replace the processor and memory module.

The standard netbook operating system will be Ubuntu Remix, but if you want, you can replace it with Windows XP. Also, the manufacturer notes that the user can personalize the design by making a print on the cover of his netbook.

The promised retail price in the basic configuration - $ 200, which pleases. However, we have already heard many times about the very promised couple of hundred bucks, but quite a few netbooks actually sold at that price after the release.
