People are aware of the utility that the Internet gives them - only 5% of respondents do not see the utility in using the network. But the respondents presented a lot of options for benefiting from the network: these are savings on communication in general and phone calls in particular (21%), cost reduction for various purchases (16%) and the ability to download interested software, music and movies at any time (52% answered). Also, in a crisis, the network is rightfully considered one of the most economical leisure options.

Another study found that 69% use information obtained from the Internet in their work, and 7% earn money online.

The largest decline in attendance over the year was recorded in the “Hobbies and Hobbies” sector (-79%), and the largest increase in visits was recorded in the “Industry” (197%), “Cinema” (159%), “Programs” (128%) sectors .

Quite noticeably added to the visits "freelancers" sites and resources with completely free content. It seems that the issue of legalizing software in Russia is once again thrown far back: users often visit resources where pirated versions of software and movies are laid out, they prefer to receive it for free, instead of buying legal licenses and disks.

Despite the crisis, on the whole, the year turned out to be quite positive - 25% of the sites belonging to the top 30 runet leaders in all sectors Rambler TOP100 managed to almost double their audience, while only 9% of sites recorded a decrease in attendance.
