Nintendo said that the final version of the Opera browser for Wii should be available for download as early as April of this year. The company has released three test versions of the browser since last December and, having received feedback from users, tried to correct all the complaints in the final version.
The final version includes the following innovations:
Added option to zoom and scroll
Reduced browser loading time
Increased speed of access to the "Favorites"
Added the ability to hide the toolbar
Added keys that indicate frequently typed combinations: for example, "www" and ".com"
The new browser can be downloaded through the console itself for free until the end of June. Those who do not have time to do this will have to pay 500 Wii Points by visiting the Wii Shop Channel.
