Thus, the European Parliament rejected the new version of the law introduced to the National Assembly, according to which users twice convicted of illegally downloading “copyrighted” content could be denied access to the Internet for a year.

So while the Europeans have abandoned the draconian measures. Now everything is serious: track offenders (with the active assistance of providers) and receive complaints from the right holders will be dealt with by the “Higher authority for copyright protection and distribution of materials on the Internet” (HADOPI).
