The following material formats are allowed: a full article (up to 8 pages), a short article (up to 4 pages), or abstracts for a poster. In 2009, the number of accepted articles was increased, and if the article is not passed through the contest as a full or short report, it can be accepted as a thesis and you can talk about it at the poster session.

Graphicon'2009 will be held in two stages: the “School of Young Scientists” in the first two days and the sections of the international conference itself in the next three days. “School of Young Scientists” (previously held in summer and called “Summer School”), includes workshops, tutorials, poster sessions and lectures on fundamental, theoretical and practical issues of CG and CV. Visitors of the Summer School-2008 learned the practical art of presentations and technological entrepreneurship; Learned about 3D visualization in Autodesk Maya and programming GPU on CUDA technology from NVidia; We saw how robots are designed in practice and take part in the Intel quiz.

The second part of the "Graphicon" - an international conference - is held in English. It traditionally consists of the following activities:
Every year world scientists and representatives of famous companies are invited to participate in the conference. So, in 2008, Brian Barsky, a professor at UC Berkeley University, gave a presentation on Vision-simulated imaging among the invited speakers; Elena Shumilova, a company representative, spoke about the achievements in the field of educational technologies in Autodesk; Michael Doggett (AMD) described the Radeon graphics card architecture; and Alexander Chipizhko (Intel) shared with the audience the company's view on Visual Computing.

This year, Alexey Efros , an associate professor at Carnegie Mellon University, the creator of the technology for automatically removing defects from photographs, a method for reconstructing a 3D model from one photo, and algorithms for enhancing the realism of computer-generated images will be a guest speaker at the conference.

Graphicon'2009 is supported by the Eurographics Association, Intel Corporation and the Institute of Applied Mathematics. MV Keldysh RAS . The event is organized by the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Moscow State University .
